Flipping through fashion mags I usually get tired of seeing the same pieces in editorial after editorial.

During the autumn/winter season it was the Stella McCartney cut out dress with the polka dot mesh and the Prada mod shift that haunted fashion pages left right and centre.

Come spring/summer I have now completely changed my tune and delight when I open a magazine to find one of the season’s stand out styles hidden inside.

I just can’t get enough of the Prada flame heels. There are a quite a few different styles in the collection but they are all equally amazing.

Flowers with flames and little break lights shouldn’t work but miraculously it more than works, it creates some of the most unique and exciting shoes I have seen in awhile.

Any editorial that features these babies automatically has my undivided attention.

A couple of other pieces that I love to see sprinkled across every mag this season, are the Louis Vuitton broderie anglaise collared blouse and the Jewel encrusted Dolce & Gabbana bodysuit.

20th century literature has never been so fashionable with it-girls everywhere carrying around Olympia Le-Tan clutches that look like famous novels like Nabirokov’s Lolita, Williams’ The Glass Menagerie and Hemingway’s For Whom the Bell Tolls.

It’s definitely in vogue to be carrying around a good book.

As per usual Chanel is my favourite haute couture show of the season.

Givenchy dazzled in White and Armani Prive was velvety black with colourful embellishments but it was Chanel as always that took my breath away.

As per usual the classic Chanel tweed suit looks updated and left audiences longing for a piece of the their own Chanel elegance.

I know it’s probably not a good thing but I am so often drawn to a book by its cover.

Yes by reading the blurb even, you can gain so much further insight into the book but this first glance or impression is the one that counts.

This applies to fashion also.

In an image driven society there is so much judgement made simply by a persons clothing.

Thus, in creating a good first impression clothing is vital.

When someone meets me their first insight into my personality will likely be my girlish nature.

Another inference commonly made is of my innocence.

While this may or may not be a factor of my personality this is what I am communicating.

Therefore, no matter the occasion one should always consider the message they are stating before they even say hello.

For this will define your interactions with other people.

One should always dress to impress as to create the best possible chance of being that book that creates enough intrigue as to be picked up from the shelf and read.

While in LA I learnt a thing or two about food fads.

Sprinkles cupcakes is one of the latest hot spots to wait in line for a tasty treat.

Food is like fashion with trends changing all the time, and sprinkles is definitely in fashion right now.

The brown paper box hides an exciting culinary experience within.

I have never tasted a cupcake so moist.

Being a Melbourne girl I thought I knew good cupcakes, and I wasn’t patient enough to wait in line at Magnolia bakery when I was in the big apple, but I’m going to have to go out on a limb and say that Sprinkles makes the best cupcake in the world.

I would have to say, like the little black dress sprinkles are a trend that is here to stay. Thank goodness for that!

Alabaster skin, red hair, horribly idiosyncratic, this is me. Things that sparkle inspire me.

The world is a beautiful place with so many things in it to marvel at.

Life is and always should be enchanting. Part of this to me, is decorating myself with lovely feminine things. Some may say over the top, I say I’m having fun and surrounding myself with an identity I love.

I believe whole heartedly in a disney style happy ending, and refuse to believe that love is a fading ideal.

Life is what you make it and I’m going to do everything I can to fill mine with love and sparkles.
